Sessions will be offered for those families who have children preparing for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  These sessions are offered once a month along with the Centers that are offered for each sacrament.  Parents and children come together as whole families prepare for the reception of the sacraments.  Families together learn more about God's great love for them and how the Church celebrates God's gift of forgiveness.  Families together learn about being a member of God's family by sharing the gift of the body and blood of Jesus.  Contact Donna May at 373-2987 for more information.

Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation, one of three sacraments through which people become members of the Christian community.  In common practice of the Church today, parents bring their infants to Baptism, and in the second grade that child prepares for and receives First Eucharist.  St. Theodore and St. James believes in confirming young people during their teen years to help them develope spiritually at a time when they are maturing physically and intellectually in their human growth.  The teen years are an important time for young people to establish as their own faith they have grown up sharing with their families.  Candidates will need to choose an adult sponsor to work with them during the preparation process.  A sponsor has the responsibility of living the example, sharing faith, and listening to the ideas and concerns of the candidate and will attend classes with the student and the parent(s) through out the year.   Please contact  Keri Flahive at 373-2987 for more information.

What does R.C.I.A. stand for?   Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The R.C.I.A. process is a guided journey to prepare for sacramental initiation and entry into the Catholic Church.  Candidates, those already baptized, and catechumens, those who have not been baptized, both participate in this learning, loving process of conversion.  Adults interested in learning about the Catholic Church, please contact Deacon Mike Ellis at 373-5254.

Spending time preparing for a lifetime commitment makes for a stronger, healthier marriage.  To schedule your wedding date and begin the preparation process, contact Father Timothy Reker at 373-9661 or Deacon Mike Ellis at 373-5254.
